I applied for a COVID extension in Bangkok and received the application under consideration stamp, with instructions to return on May 27. I've since moved on to Chiang Mai. Can I go to the immigration office in Chiang Mai to get the remaining days of extension or do I need to return to Bangkok?

i sent someone on my behalf 2 days late. they only had to queue in N2 and hand over the passport.

Lucky you...but two days late not a wise move.

And your claim that it was consistent with what was told to you... that's most unusual..but glad you got your approved extension.

ok. Thank you. So glad I didn't wait until the last minute to ask. Another question... have you heard of any cases where someone was denied the remaining extension?

@Victoria *******
nope... no denials reported. But suggest you have a Plan B for the next time if COVID extensions are not extended after May 24th

I already have a plan in the works. Despite, having to return to Bangkok for a few days, this is great news for me because prior to reading the information in this group, I thought I'd have to leave the country on the 27th. Thanks again for this wonderful resource.
