Hi everyone,

I will be in Chiang Mai for 6 days and need a 30 day extension while I am there. My home residence is in Bangkok.

For the TM7 form, do I put my home address or Hotel address in Chiang Mai on the 30 days extension form?

Thank you all.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a 30-day visa extension in Chiang Mai, you must use the Chiang Mai address on the TM7 form. You will need to provide proof of a TM30 with that address. You can also register your TM30 at the Chiang Mai Immigration Office or use an online app for TM30 registration. Alternatively, consider applying for the extension in Bangkok before traveling if your current visa allows it.

When does your current stamp give you entry to? You could get your extension in Bangkok before travelling, why waste your "away" time?

You can also register your own TM30 at CM Immigration Office with documentation of rental; and/or use online App. for TM30 Registration.

You have to have proof of a TM30 with a Chiang Mai address and you have to use that same address on your application for extension.

you'd have to ask them. They're required by law to file a TM30 for you but that doesn't mean every hotel will do so. And even if they do they might not provide proof if you ask.
