ORIGINAL POSTERI‘m currently in Thailand, my visa finishes April 9.
Is there any possibility to fly into Malaysia or Cambodia (or any other country)? I find only mixed information about this.
I‘m not sure whether I can get the letter from the German embassy, already tried two times, no answer.
Any help would be appreciated!

Cambodia is now requesting the same papers as Thailand. Health certificate with Covid test and health insurance coverage. Visas can only be obtained from the embassy, no voa, visa exempt possible.

The German consulate here DOES issue the letter (or there were reports they do) so you definitely need to get it to get an unable to travel due to covid-19 extension.
Without the letter all you'll get is a 7 day extension denied stamp that gives you a week to leave the country.
