My 30 days visa extension runs out April 4th and Iβm planning to go to Vietnam for a week or two.
I entered Thailand 60 days ago on a tourist visa, and Iβm wondering whatβs the best way I can apply for a new visa for Thailand whilst I spend time in Vietnam?
I fly out of Thailand back to my home country middle of may.
Thank you very much π

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks advice on applying for a new visa for Thailand after their current 30-day visa extension expires, given their plan to visit Vietnam. A commenter suggests that depending on the user's citizenship, they might not require a new visa to re-enter Thailand after a couple of weeks in Vietnam, as they could potentially enter visa-exempt for 30 days.
Seems likely you can enter LOS again after a couple of weeks in Vietnam free, visa exempt for 30 days. Which, if need be, can be extended for 30 days more at your local immigration office for 1,900 baht.
In other words, you probably don't need a visa. Luck of the Irish, innit? π
I could only do backpacking in Thailand for 15 days instead of 2 months because we just get a 15 days of non-extendable visa on arrival, not a 1 month of visa exemption that can be extended for another month. I really wanted to stay more in Thailand but i had to leave and go back to india as i had no other choice.
You're on a lad's wee holiday, yeah? ; you're a tourist; yeah, you can enter again, just not wearing elephant pants or a shirt which says "same same but different" & you'll be fine, mate.
