Hi guys!

I'm currently in Namibia and have been trying to apply for tourist visa here but the process is taking forever and having difficulties. However I got information that Namibians can travel to Malaysia without a visa and apply for Thailand visa upon arrival! If this is so can I please get all necessary information/ documents required for this!

Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the possibility for Namibians to travel to Thailand by applying for a visa on arrival after traveling to Malaysia, given their difficulties in obtaining a tourist visa from Namibia. While some users suggested the option of purchasing a 60-day SETV visa in Malaysia and extending it in Thailand, they also cautioned that Namibians cannot travel without prior visa approval as Thailand is strict about entry requirements. It's advised that travelers contact the Royal Thai Embassy for accurate visa information, especially since the embassy in Namibia is closed.

Hi Emily. I'm a Namibian and currently traveling in Thailand with my Family. The Thai Embassy in Namibia is closed and the Royal Thai Embassy in Pretoria South Africa handles Visas for Namibians. I used an agency which The Royal Thai embassy recommended in Namibia and I got our Visas in two weeks.

(I applied for our Visas in May)

Warning ⚠️

Many people are lured to Thailand on false pretenses of work, only to be trafficked to neighboring countries and then forced to work in criminal scam operations.

Update Thailand she needs to apply before travel. She will not even be allowed on the plan. Namibians can only travel to 52 countries without a visa. Here's your link:

Thailand is very strict about what countries they let in. Tell your friend to contact the Royal Thai Embassy in her country. They are very helpful. Not all countries have free travel. Good luck

You can buy the 60 day SETV visa for ฿1,900 In Malaysia then get it extended in Thailand at your local immigration office for 30 days at a cost of ฿1,900….I’m guessing this is the type of visa you want to buy

Of course I understand dual citizenship but what does that have to do with this post? Try reading it again, it's about a Namibian citizen with a Namibian passport.

Namibian passport holders not residing in Malaysia cannot use the Thai embassies in Malaysia for visa applications

with the limitations of a Namibian passport, she wouldn't have asked if she has another one which is better to travel on
