TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on exiting Thailand to Penang, Malaysia with an expiring tourist visa. They have utilized multiple extensions and border runs within the visa rules but are concerned about potential issues during exit processing. Commenters clarify that the user can exit, but caution about visa regulations, such as the limits on visa-exempt entries and requirements for obtaining a new visa in Penang.

Fly out, fly back. no limit on 30-day no-visa entries

BUT

You may be asked to show proof of your ability to fund your stay without working and may be asked how you stay without working.

.

If you were working by doing border hops and visa runs then be aware that you may be in for a very rough time.

.

IF you meet the requirements to legally work as a teacher in Thailand (degree, TOR, TOEIC, police clearance) then getting a real job is an option.

.

If you are looking to work in the tourism sector under the AEC framework then you need to show qualifications and find an employer to hire you.

after this 30 day extension you either fly out and back in to get another 30 day visa exempt entry (because you used all your entries by land)

OR

you to go a thai consulate and BUY a single entry tourist visa.

IF you are going to those consulates to get a visa you are going to have to meet the requirements at those consulates.

Get your 30 day extension now and then figure out where you're going to get a tourist visa,

You could also get a 30 day extension at the immigration office on your most recent 30 day visa exempt entry stamp.

you need to think of every entry into the country as a separate thing because that's what they are.

You can apply for a 30 day extension on every 30 day visa entry or 60 day tourist visa entry. One time per entry.

The extensions you got before don't matter because you're here on another 30 day visa exempt entry stamp which you haven't extended yet.

If what I just typed is correct you don't have any 30 day visa exempt entries left to get this year by land.

You could go to the thai consulate in Penang an BUY a tourist visa, BUT you will need to show a bank statement with 20K baht in it, proof of onward travel in 60 to 90 days and a hotel booking for at least 3 days.

You need to understand the difference between entering the country without any visa and getting stamped in for 30 days and entering the country WITH a visa and getting stamped in for 60.

They are totally different things. You can only enter the country on a 30 day visa exempt entry TWO times in a year by land

you need to understand the differences between your entries, they are not the same and there is no 90 day entry from Penang, you got a 60 day tourist visa and you extended it by 30 days at the immigration office in Phuket for 1900baht.

You want to go to Penang, it is not a border city. What do you plan to do there, travel on to other places in the world or coming back to Thailand with a new Visa?

If your country of origin is on this list you can only do two border crossings for the 30 day Visa Exempt Entry a calendar year (see picture). Or do you like to apply for a new visa while visiting Penang?
