Hello, I am from GERMANY and 30 years old. Since the Amnesty Visa was over and the German Embassy didn't hand out the letter which was needed to extend the visa on your own, I was paying an Agent which got me a 3 and 2 month visa all the time, I think it was called "Medical Visa".

I need to extend my visa again soon and wanted to ask if anybody knows if the immigration still wants that letter or if I can go to the immigration myself tomorrow and extend my visa again myself for 1900 baht?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on extending their visa in Thailand after the amnesty period ended and they faced challenges obtaining a necessary letter from the German Embassy. Previous experience included using an agent for visa applications. Responses from the community indicate that while some immigration offices may still request the letter, others might accept an email from the embassy. It's also suggested the user consult their agent for further guidance.

Best speak to your agent as you've shot yourself in the foot a bit now.

Some offices may still ask for a letter, but will then also settle with an email from your embassy stating they don’t issue such stupid letters.
