Can I apply for an e-visa using a 90-day return flight? I plan to get a 30-day extension. What’s recommendable here?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster inquires about the possibility of applying for an e-visa with a 90-day return flight while planning a 30-day extension in Thailand. Commenters note the importance of specifying the visa type, with emphasis on tourist visas typically necessitating a return flight within the stamped duration. They suggest double-checking if the airline will accept the return ticket for boarding and advise securing written confirmation due to possible discrepancies between airline policies and immigration requirements.

A tourist Evisa asks for your ticket in the application
I am about to do it on the Sydney consulate website, but can only proceed so far without putting all my details in and so far it hasn’t said anything about airline tickets. Can you please tell me if I will eventually need to produce a ticket in this application?
It's in the domain of the airline you will be using if your 90-day return will be acceptable. With a tourist visa it's unlikely you'll have issues with Thai immigration, but it's whether your airline will allow you to board. Best to check with them, but do get the response in writing or as a chat transcript. Quite often there are left and right hand issues with airlines

We can't answer since you didn't say what visa you're applying for.
If you're applying for a tourist visa they generally want to see that you'll be leaving Thailand within the number of days you'll be stamped in for (which is 60 days)
