Hi guys looking for some advice.

I booked my ticket to go to Thailand for 32 days. When it was the 45 day visa now it’s gone back to 30 days can I still fly and get through immigration and get a extension during my stay?

Been trying to get hold of the Thai embassy in London but impossible. And so many people have given me different answers. I’m little bit worried I will get refused entry. grateful for any advice.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about entering Thailand for 32 days amid recent changes to visa policies, specifically the reduction from 45 days to 30 days for visa-exempt entries. Responses advise confirming airline policies regarding proof of exit tickets, potential overstay fines, and suggest options for obtaining a 60-day e-visa or extending the current stay with a local immigration office.

You can either pay the overstay fine ฿500 per day…..or….go to your local immigration office and pay ฿1,900 for a 30 day extension…if in Bangkok you can do it the save day as you land as long as you land when immigration is open and you can make it there before it closes…good luck

Purchase a $10 onward ticket or buy a cheap ticket to Cambodia/Malaysia/etc.

Just get a 60 day e visa before you fly, if not you will need to get an extension to your visa exempt entry stamp can use an agent or stand in a queue all day. Wouldn’t do nothing and pay the over stay fine can cause problems in the future. Airline will be fine as you have a return flight booked in my experience

You must check with your airline. If you are over 30 days they might deny boarding. If they say it's ok, get it in writing.

You get in to Thailand fine but when you are leaving Thailand at customs you have to pay 500baht a day over stay. So for 2 days you have to pay 1000baht

Immigration and customs are two separate functions. Customs has nothing to do with visas

Passport control at the airport won't even ask to see your flight out of Thailand.

Who you need to be calling is your airline. They might not let you checkin to your flight without being able to show a ticket out of Thailand within 30 days so you need to find out their policy.

as long as you have return ticket booked, you should be fine. Just say you will get visa extension when you're in Thailand, if asked.

Unfortunately that doesn't wash with airlines as they know the extention isn't a given.

they don't really know what they are talking about. You can't even get visa on arrival you can get visa exempt.

What you want to know is does the airline require proof of leaving Thailand within 30 days if you're traveling without a visa.

guess you'll find out when you arrive. Google "onward travel ticket" and familiarize yourself with one of them so you can rent a plane ticket on short notice if you need to
