Does anyone know If coming in on tourist visa exempt (ie 30 days), when asked on the Thailand pass registration how many days we will be staying in Thailand, will it be a problem to state 59 days (since we can get a tourist extension for 30 more days)? Or should we state 30 days on the registration, and then just get an extension when we are in Thailand?
Update: it has been approved. So it appears not a problem to state staying 59 days under tourist exempt. Applied @10am UK time 10 Nov, received pass 11 Nov 9pm, travelling 27th Nov 🥂. Thanks for all the replies!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original question inquired about the implications of stating a stay of 59 days on the Thailand Pass registration when entering Thailand on a visa-exempt 30-day tourist entry. The consensus among respondents was to initially state 30 days, as this aligns with the entry stamp, and to apply for an extension while in Thailand. Several users shared experiences where they indicated longer stays without issue, suggesting that stating a longer duration might not be problematic as long as travelers have a justification for their presence and comply with extension regulations.
Looking at my previous stamps there is nothing showing how many days it just shows your entry date, then next to it is the exit stamp showing leaving date. Have matching extension to justify your time in Thailand then no issue.
I just looked at old passport as waiting for my newer one to come back from embassy and have some have the date some don't but have where it should be. The last 2 don't but I was on a visa 0 prior to covid. That maybe why do you think ?
