Is it possible to go back to Thailand while DTV eVisa is pending? 

I have an active ED visa until end of this year and plan to go to Vietnam next week to apply for DTV. Since next week there is a public holiday I am not sure if they'll be able to finish it until the end of the week and I'm wondering if technically I only have to be physically in Vietnam during the day of application?

Then if I get approved I'd just fly out again and come back on DTV. Just wanted to clarify if thats possible

You can only have 1 visa at the time, so to get DTV the ED has to be canceled first.

Technically yes. But the embassy has the right to ask you to appear in person for an interview so perhaps not the best idea
