Can I apply for a DTV visa while holding an ED visa in Thailand?
At the moment i am on ED visa/extension.
If i want to apply DTV visa, do i have to cancel the ED first?
Or can apply same time? 🙏🏻

Yes, you need to cancel your visa. You can't have 2 visas at the same time. Just because the embassy issues your visa, you might have trouble at immigration when you enter OR when you try to extend. Just cancel the visa before you leave.

You need to be outside Thailand to apply for the DTV do you not? If you leave Thailand to apply on the ED without a re-entry pass it will be cancelled upon exit. If you have a re-entry pass and leave it will still be valid. So if you obtained a DTV outside Thailand and tried to re-enter it would show 2 valid visas - no idea how that would be viewed?
