Do I need to file TM30 at my local immigration office in Mahasarakhom or can I do it in Buriram, and can it be done at a local police station?

I have 2 questions regarding TM30. Normally i do not worry about it as i only stay 30 days at my wifes house in a village in Maharsarakham, but in the future i may wish to stay longer and from all my readings i will need the TM 30 to extend any visa. 1st question , does it need to be done at your province's immigration office, in Maharsarakham or can i go to Buriram which is closer for me? 2nd question in the past i have read i may be able to do it at the local police station, is this true, has anyone actually done this? I ask as i am a lazy bastard and do not wish to travel a long way to immigration.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The TM30 filing usually needs to be done at the immigration office in the province where you are staying; thus, if you're in Mahasarakhom, you should go there for your TM30 registration or any visa-related services. However, your wife can register online via an app or website for convenience. There were mentions of possibly doing it at a local police station in some cases, but this is less common and might not be a reliable option.

You don't even have to get off your backside

Have your wife register for the website or app and she can just do it online whenever you visit.

If you do it in person you have to use the immigration office in the province you are staying at, and can only use that immigration office for any visa or extension services as well.

yes it covers all provinces. It's the same system hotels use. But I'm not sure of the website. You can probably find it by using the search feature of the group.
