TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the possibility of obtaining a second Non-O visa as their current one is about to expire. Comments indicate it is possible to get another Non-O visa, particularly if it is based on marriage to a Thai national. Specific requirements for the application process at certain consulates are provided, including necessary documents and fees.

Did you have a year-long, multi-entry Non-O based on being married to a thai?

Right now the thai consulates in Savannakhet Lao or Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam are the only two nearby ones that will issue that visa without any proof of financials.

You'd need signed copies of:

the two marriage certificates (if you got married in thailand)

the data page of your passport,

your thai wife's i/d card and her house book listing.

That along with the application and 5000baht gets you the year-long Non-O visa.

Short answer is yes. What is the visa based on?

Thank you, I'm going to savanakhet consulate, which is where I got it the first time. I can't remember the paper work I needed to apply.

Joseph Pi. You can apply for an extention of stay based on your current non imm o. If you're married you need 400,000bt in a thai bank or an income of not less than 40,000bt per month. If you're not married but over 50 you can apply for the extention with 800,000bt in a thai bank or an income of not less than 65,000bt per month, or a combination of the two. If you want to re-new the visa itself then you'll need to go to a thai consulate. It depends on the consulate as to the requirements of a non imm o visa.

So you got the one you have now based on being married to a Thai citizen?
