Hi guys, I'm on Non Imm O visa based on marriage from Savanaket (the one with 90 days visa runs) which expires on the 27th February this year. I've been stamped into Thailand until 17th February. Due to my travel plans later on I'm not looking for short visa extension in Thailand, I'd prefer to get a new visa in Savanaket before / on the 17th, my question is will I be able to apply for a new Non O visa while the old one will still be valid for 10 days? Thanks for help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is asking whether they can apply for a new Non-O visa in Savanaket while their current visa is still valid for 10 more days. Responses indicate that officially, having multiple valid visas is not allowed. It's suggested to check with the consulate about the possibility of canceling the current visa to apply for a new one.

why don't you go last border run before your visa expired? you still get another 90days +60days extension if you want.

Anyway, both (the current one and the new one you are going to get) of your visas would be issued at Savarnaket, check with that consulate if they can cancel (or void) old one and issue you a new one. I'm saying this because some consulates mention that only issuing consulate would be able to void issued visa and you need to do it before you apply new one in case you need new one before expiration. Though I had never read any report like that, maybe you need to check with them.

Otherwise, as Robert says above, not possible to have two (or more) active visa in one passport.

As long as you enter on or before the valid until date 27th Feb 23:59 you get 90 days of stay based on this valid visa.

what you are saying if I do visa run before 17th I'd still get 90 days in Thailand, even if my visa expires on the 27th?

Officially NO, you can not have multiple valid visa's inside a passport You may try and see if the Consulate wants to give you leniency
