Hi, Just got my single entry non-o based on marriage from uk. Can I change this to multi-entry non-o once in Thailand? Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can apply for a year's extension of stay and obtain a multi-entry re-entry permit once you are in Thailand, provided you meet the necessary conditions such as being married or retired.
NON-O RETIREMENT VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
Go to the Retirement Visa Section for information on requirements, including age restrictions, financial requirements, and necessary documentation.
For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.

your only option on that visa is to meet the proof of funds 400K baht i a thai bank account for 2 months, then apply for the year extension based on marriage to a thai for 1900baht, then after you get that you could buy a re-entry permit
OR
you could get a 60 day visit thai family extension once.
I thought that I did not have to put the 400k into a thai bank to get a multi entry? I've had a change of plans and will only be staying there for 28 days at a time, so I think better to stay on tourist visa.
you can get a multi entry non-o visa based on marriage in Savannakhet, Laos. This used to not require money in a Thai bank but changed a few months ago to require 400k in a Thai bank. I think that was about the last place you could get one without banked money
, you mean Multiple Entry Non-O based on marriage to a Thai that you apply at the Thai embassy, not inside Thailand. And unfortunately, it is not available on eVisa system anymore since the system update last October.
but after a few 28 day stays, they're going to question and eventually deny you entry. Unless you're planning on only coming for 28days and then leaving for a while between visits

... I was doing that working O&G a number of years ago and they pulled me up, questioned me and told me to get the correct visa. I then did a few years on the muliple entry visa until covid and now on the 1 year extensions getting re-entry permits when required.
