Can I obtain a multiple-entry Non-O visa for dependency based on my child in Thailand?
so ive been on a non o for marriage for the past few years however thats gone tits up, i have a son so im hoping to go on dependency visa for him, is it possible to get a multiple O the same was as i got he multiple O in Savanakhet through marriage?

It could be true but it could be false. I'd say until we hear from one of the agents down there OR get a confirmation of a denial that it has to be just a rumor right now.

nope, Neither Savannakhet nor Vientiane will issue a year-long, multi-entry Non-O based on raising a half thai child :/
The ONLY consulate nearby that will is the thai consulate in Penang, and they require you show 400K baht (or the equivalent) in a bank account (no seasoning required) to issue it.
The best you can do in Savannakhet or Vientiane for raising half thai children is a 90 day single entry Non-O.. Sorry :(

You're a LONG way off from your current visa running out. Bouncing just before it expires would take you thru Nov, and getting a 60 day extension (if you could) would take you until Jan.
The situation between you and your ex wife could change by then (or not), BUT you've still got time to figure out something..

Visas can't be canceled. Even if the reason you got it changes you can stay on it until it expires and use it like you want to..Tod *********

well, make sure you maximize the time you get out of the visa you're on by bouncing out/back in to the country just before the VISA itself expires so you get 15 months of stay out of itAND
After that you could apply for a 60 day visit family extension at the immigration office for 1900baht without proof of funds with minimal documentation.
