I stay for 180 days, I leave Thailand, and then re-enter. Do i need to pay again? (I'm not talking about extention here)
Question 2
I extend the visa, does this mean i get 360 days per entry for all future entries also?
Question 3
Say I have been entering and exiting thailand, it's been 4years 11 months since the DTV was issued. Then, I re-enter Thailand, I get to stay for 1-month or 6-months ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the details of the DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) in Thailand, specifically concerning re-entry fees, the rules for visa extensions, and the duration of stay for each entry. Key points include that no additional payment is required for re-entry with a multiple entry visa, each entry allows for an initial stay of 180 days (extendable for an additional 180 days), and the duration granted upon re-entry depends on the validity of the DTV.
1) No, the visa itself comes with the right to enter multiple times. You don't pay extra for that.
2) Extensions work once. A new entry will be 180 days again, and can be extended once again.
3) Current visas always grant you the entire period you're normally stamped in for, which is then also extendable, even if you enter on the last day of the visa validity. There's no reason to assume it works differently with this one. So you could get up to six years of stay from one DTV. However, bear in mind that in order to keep your last entry active, you need to work with re-entry permits in case you travel abroad.
#2 No, you get 180 days with each entry, each extendable for 180 days if you want to. So you can either 180 days x10, or 180 + 180 x5, or a combination.
the infographic said one extension per entry. You cannot apply for another extension after you already applied. It says you must leave and return to reset your stay.
yep I've seen that. And that agrees with the text published in the Royal Gazette but the latter adds an important point "In this case, the official under the immigration law shall stamp the extension of the permit period for the foreigner. and the dependents may continue to stay in the kingdom for not more than one hundred and eighty days. Can be used an unlimited number of times."
I, perhaps wrongly, read this as saying you can get multiple extensions per entry (as long as the visa remains valid)
do extensions of stay require the visa to be valid? The current way this works with other visas and other extensions is that this is very specifically not required.
Interesting to read however that they wrote that. Could it be a mistake?
it could be a mistake or it could be me misinterpreting it. I guess we'll find out in the fullness of time. But it does also add this "However, the said period when combined with the period of permission to stay in the Kingdom according to Section 4 must not exceed. Visa validity period according to item 3"
Again my interpretation, but I read this as saying any extension can't exceed the visa validity. I'd guess that also means that an entry stamp also won't extend beyond the visa validity.
