Just trying to understand since on DTV one can stay 180 days in a year, can we do border run and come again and stay full one Year.

Like this can we stay fully 5 years?

Or we can stay only 180 days*5 years?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) allows holders to stay in Thailand for 180 days per entry. You can exit and re-enter the country multiple times to receive a new 180-day stamp each time. Therefore, theoretically, you can stay in Thailand for a full year by doing border runs, amounting to a total of 5 years, as long as you follow the immigration rules.

The visa is a five year multi-entry visa.

Each entry during the validity of the visa gets you stamped in for 180 days

You can exit/re-enter as much as you want during the validity of the visa and you will get stamped in for a new 180 days each time.

People have already gotten the DTV, entered thailand, got the 180 day entry stamp, then traveled out for a weekend and came back and they got NEW 180 day entry stamps

Anonymous participant The DTV has nothing to do with the same calendar year. Its a 5 year multi-entry visa with each entry being up to or less than 180 days.

So, you can come in with DTV, get 180 days. Leave on holiday after 30 days, come back and get another 180 days until the end of your 5 year visa. You must either leave OR get an extension at immigration before the 180th day.

What do you mean leave on holiday and come back after 30 days? When you leave Thailand after your 180 days do you have to go for a substantial amount of time or can you just do a quick fly out fly back in type thing?

I didn't say leave on holiday for 30 days, I said leave on holiday after 30 days of entering. You could leave and come back and get another 180 days. I don't think it's about how long you leave, you just have to leave and come back to get another 180 days. Since no one has probably tested this, I would say that no one really has an answer.
