Please kindly advise, is it possible to get Single entry tourist visa (from Laos) and extend for another 30 days (90 days in total) then travel back to the country of residence for a month and then apply for METV? Thank you for advice 🙂

TLDR : Answer Summary
It is theoretically possible to obtain a single entry tourist visa from Laos, extend it for an additional 30 days, and then travel back to your home country before applying for a METV (Multiple Entry Tourist Visa). However, the issuance of these visas is at the discretion of the relevant embassy or consulate, and your entry history could affect whether you are granted the visas or allowed to enter Thailand. Therefore, it's essential to consider your previous travel history.

In theory it’s possible. Except that the issuance of the visas will be at the discretion of the embassy/consulate.

Depending on your previous entry history they may not issue them.

Depending on your entry history immigration may not allow you to enter, even if you have a valid visa.

Unusual but could happen. Without knowing the history we just couldn’t say one way or the other.
