Hi!

My METV expires on 6th February. If I leave the country for travelling and come back the latest on the 6th or earlier, i will get 60days more stay and the end of it i can request 30 day extension.

But! During this 2+1 months can i leave the country lets say go to the Philippines and come back to Thailand?

I mean is there any re-entry document that would apply in this situation?

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can leave Thailand and return on a multiple entry tourist visa (METV) as long as you re-enter the country on or before the expiration date of your visa. Upon re-entry, you will receive an additional 60 days of stay and can request a 30-day extension afterward. However, to leave and re-enter during the valid period, you must purchase a re-entry permit before departing, which allows you to maintain your visa status upon return.

As long as you ENTER on or before the expiration date of the visa itself you will get another 60 day entry AND you can extend that by 30 more days at the immigration office for 1900baht.

If you wanted to leave and come back during those 90 days you would need to buy a re-entry permit at either the immigration office or at the airport (if where you're flying out of sells them) before you flew out.

it will not add any days to your stay but it will allow you to leave, come back and get stamped in for the same expiration date.
