With the METV:
1) Can you extend each of your 60-day stays with a 30 day extension, or are you only granted one 30-day extension per your entire 6-month METV?
2) The METV online application states "you need to prove that you have a genuine reason to visit Thailand on a regular basis." Does this mean you may be granted the METV, but then are not guaranteed to get a 60 day stay each time you re-enter?
Thank you for the info!
TLDR : Answer Summary
The Multiple Entry Tourist Visa (METV) allows for 60-day stays that can often be extended by 30 days for each entry. However, this extension varies by immigration office; it's advisable to verify with the local office in advance. Additionally, while the METV permits multiple entries, it does not guarantee a 60-day stay on each entry, as immigration officials retain the discretion to approve or deny entry based on the traveler's justification for visiting regularly.
