TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking guidance on applying for a one-year extension of stay based on their marriage to a Thai national, using monthly income as proof. They have a NON-O METV visa valid until February 2021 and have all necessary documents. The comments suggest that if the user meets the financial requirements – either holding 400,000 THB in a Thai bank account for two months or proving a monthly income of over 40,000 THB for 12 consecutive months – they can apply. However, applications are evaluated individually by immigration, so past approvals do not guarantee success.

in order to make sure your immigration accepts you using the income method, just visit them and ask for their handout on an 1-year extension of stay based on marriage
You will be able to apply for a 1-year Extension of Stay based on marriage with a Thai IF you bring YOUR WIFE and all necessary documents AND fulfill the financial requirements which are: EITHER 400,000 THB on a Thai bank account in your sole name, for 2 months on the date of application, OR proof of monthly income coming in from abroad over a minimum of 40,000 THB – proof from the bank needs to show 12 consecutive months of transfers.
What Robert L. meant was that it is irrelevant to ask for somebody who has already done the same – as Immigration will deal with your application individually, so you cannot just apply saying “this or that guy already did it” relying on that. . . . . . .
In case you cannot meet the whole basket of proof of income requirements, then you will need to buy time in order to have 400,000 THB seasoned on your bank account on the date of your application. You may cover this period by doing an application for the 60-day Extension based on Family visit FIRST , before finally apply for the 1-year Extension
