ORIGINAL POSTERAny information gratefully received. Hi I entered Thailand on the 01st January 2020 on a Single entry Non Imm O Visa marriage visa with children. So I get my original 90 days on arrival that was due to expire . I then did a 30 day extension at Udon Thani Immigration office then all this visa amnesty kicked in and have been in Udon ever since. I am due back to work in the UK on the 12th October and the amnesty expires on the 26th September is there any way I can extend my stay until my return to work date say 10th October or will I have to depart on the 26th Sept like everyone else. Its not a problem retuning to work as I have to it will be getting back to see my family in the future. Thanks in advance

I was always going to return to work in the UK but because of Covid my boss told me to stay here which I have done until they called me back which is now also my wife and kids are here. I have enjoyed the extra time as I usually work 8 weeks on 8 off the 8 off spent in Thailand and will continue with this work pattern until retirement. Hope that satisfies your question as to why I have not got a long term visa as I only usually stay for 8 weeks at a time 3 times a year and a Single entry Non Imm O Visa married satisfies my needs. But due to covid I've got to stay longer and I'm happy about that for sure.

now that we sorted out you already GOT your one 60 day visit family extension, that leaves you with ONE long term option. Bank 400K baht in a thai bank account for 2 months before and then apply for a yearly extension based on marriage to a thai. You might, as in possibly get a letter from a doctor saying you need to be here for the birth of your child and the immigration office COULD issue you an extension based on medical reasons for up to 90 days
BUT
face it you entered thailand Jan 1 and have not done anything to secure a long term extension during the intervening time you were allowed here past your 90 days :O I personally don't care in the least about that BUT the immigration office might take a different approach and ask you why you didn't do something BEFORE now to secure a long term extension?

FFS! I Dont make the laws. Caught in country on any overstay is an automatic blacklist, make it to the border/airport pay the 500bt per day fine, maximum fine 20,000bt. Over 90 days overstay at border/airport automatic blacklist.Reply to

Can apply for another extension after this ( it will be rejected)
Then a 7 day extension is issued in its place . Total 157 days .

you sure you got a 30 day extension at Udon off this 90 day non-O entry you came in on?The reason I am asking is because there is NO 30 day extension available to a Non-O visa holder. :/ Sure you didn't get a 60 day visit thai family extension instead? OR did you have a paper from your embassy saying you couldn't travel and got the 30 day unable to travel due to covid extension?

You have to do 14 days quarantine when arriving back in UK so if you are due back at work on 12 October you would need to leave around 26 September anyway.

you could get a 60 day visit thai family extension based on marriage or having half thai kids. You can get that ONCE per entry and from what you posted you haven't gotten it yet.

the ONLY 30 day extension he could have gotten off a 90 day Non-O entry would have been the "unable to travel due to covid-19" extension from an embassy letter.Either he got that OR he is mis-remembering what he got. There is definitely NO 30 day extension available on a 90 day Non-Imm visa entry

You can apply for an extension of 30 days if you get a letter from your embassy, although I understand the UK is not issuing letters as there are sufficient flights to take you back

. According to the published graphic yes it is. A German friend on amnesty after an ED visa was able to extend as he has a flight leaving October 9th on account of the embassy letter, so there may be some flexibility, if someone strikes a sympathetic IOReply to
