Hello, Im leaving Thailand on the 21th of june, my current visting family for 60 days expire on the 20th of may. Before I obtained the 60 days family visa I had a non-o for family. What is my best option?

Can I leave thailand thru a land checkpoint and obtain 30 more days on arrival? And then it will leave me with a 2 days overstay when Im going home.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on visa options after their current family visiting visa expires before their departure from Thailand. They inquire about leaving through a land checkpoint and whether they can obtain an additional 30 days upon return, which would lead to a potential overstay. The community responses confirm that border bounces are possible, but advise checking the latest border restrictions and that a Visa exempt entry can grant a 30-day extension, preventing overstay.

You can get a 30 day extension for Visa exempt entry so you don't need to risk going on overstay

you may be getting confused with 90 day reporting. The need for that stops as soon as you leave Thailand.

ok I see, then I can keep my non-o visa and travel back to thailand again after lets say 95 days abroad.

But how do I apply for a thailand pass when Im going to laos to get a new non-o. They want me to send a copy of the visa?

Thailand Pass doesn't require a Visa. It only requires vaccination and insurance

A number of land borders are now open for border bounces. Best to check on the one you want to use as to what restrictions they may have (time needed outside of Thailand before returning etc). Prior to the closures there was a limit of two land entries per calendar year (visa exempt). I assume that is still the same.

Thanks for the advice. I do have the possibility to make a new non-o based on family, but I assume it will runs faster if I just get the 30 days on arrival.

If you have the financials in place and can get the Non O then Iโ€™d go for that. Get a re-entry permit for when you leave and youโ€™re good for the next year.

yes you can. as soon as the borders are open for tourists
