TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether their wife can extend her OA visa as a dependant by following the user's extension application, given health insurance is purchased for both. The answer confirms that this is possible, requiring the user to have 800,000 THB in a Thai bank account two months prior to their extension application.

Make sure that account is ONLY in your name

One of you can apply for the Extension of Stay based on being over 50 years of age and need therefor the 800.000 Thb in a Thai bank on your name and bank books and letters showing that you full filled the requirements from last year.

The other can apply for Extension of Stay based on being a dependent but therefor are no financial requirements.

Both need the health insurance from one of the listed Thai companies as the applications are based on the Non Immigrant O-A visa.

Yes I believe you can. Lets ask

or

to confirm.

As you have until March 2021...no rush.

But must have 800,000 Thb in Thai bank two months before the EXTENSION of Stay application. With your spouse trailing on your extension.

You both can seek low cost O-A health insurance policies at that time.
