Hi all, I'm here from Australia on a multiple entry visa which means i can stay for six months but have to leave every 2 months. As my plan is to stay for a total of 5 months, does anyone know if at 4 months I can go to an immigration office and request a 1 month extension rather than do a border run?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus among commenters is that you cannot directly request a one-month extension at the immigration office after four months on a multiple-entry visa. Instead, you need to exit Thailand after your 60-day stay and then return, at which point you can apply for another 60 days plus a potential 30-day extension for a total of five months.

I’m here now on a

6 month Multi entry EVisa

After 60 days - go to the nearest immigration & fill in what is needed pay 1900 Baht

After 90 days , yes you need to leave Thailand & return

I did a border run from

Hua Hin - Ranong - Myanmar all done in one day - cost is 5300 baht and is about a 12 hour day

No you cannot, exit after 60 days and re-enter then do your second 60 plus a 30 day extension for your 5 months

I think she is asking 60, border hop, 60 + 30 extension, so yes, she can.She is aware she has to leave at least once at the 60 day mark.

You are stamped in each time for 60 days which can be extended by 30. To stay 4 months you will have to do 1 border run.

Guessing you are on a multi-entry tourist visa? If so, then each entry can be extended by 30 days.
