I looking for some advice please. My husband and I are planning to travel to Thailand for 3 and a half months on holiday. What would be our best option for a Visa. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

TLDR : Answer Summary
For a 3.5 month stay in Thailand, the recommended visa options include obtaining a Tourist Visa for 60 days which can then be extended for an additional 30 days at Thai Immigration for a fee. Alternatively, you can consider a Multi-Entry Tourist Visa, allowing you to enter Thailand multiple times for 60 days each. If your stay exceeds 90 days, you will need to conduct a 'border bounce' or exit and return to get additional visa days.

Or get a multi entry tourist visa. You still have to do a border bounce but you get 60 days every time you enter Thailand

you can just cross a border and return. Whether you can drive or not is debatable but you could certainly drive to the border, walk across, stamp into the other country then just turn round and come back

Tourist visa from Thai Embassy nearest you then extend by one more month halfway thru your trip for 1900B each at Thai Immigration. End up with 90 days. Thats about the best I can think of off top of my head.
