Hello Everyone. I am from France. Currently staying in Koh Phagan. No covid visa extension history.

I arrived in Thailand end of August (flight ticket from India) with 30 days stamp and did 1 extension right after. First time in Thailand.

Then I went to penang, land border (bus) to ask 2 months visa 60 days and got it end of October. I will do my extension of +30 days end december.

Can I do a quick bounce back border visa run and get 45 days before 20th of January 2023 ?

I see few post mentioning 2 land border per year are accepted. Anyone has experience doing it alone or better pay visa run agency to cross the border ? Thank you for your help ๐Ÿ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
A resident from France currently in Koh Phangan is seeking advice on performing a border run to obtain a 45-day visa before January 20, 2023. They previously extended their stay and want to understand the feasibility of a land border crossing for a new visa, considering their stay since August and the limits on the number of annual crossings. Community members have confirmed that a land crossing is possible, but they recommend using a visa run service to avoid complications with immigration.

I'd follow Tod's advice and look for a service to help you. You're coming up on the point where they might start asking why you're living in Thailand on short term visas, and risk getting denied entry.

If you use a border run service they'll make sure you can jump out and back in without issue, and it might even include lunch!

You can do a land crossing in January. 45 days which can be extended 30 days. Two crossings by land are acceptable in a calendar year.

The 45 day visa exempt program expires on Mar 31st so I got no idea what you're talking about with teh 20th of Jan date..

Now whether you can figure it out on your own (by selecting the correct border to bounce out and back at) is for you to decide.

Personally with your entry/stay history (being here since Aug) I would say post on a group related to where you stay in thailand and ask for recommendations for a border bounce service that will take you to get a new 45 day visa exempt entry
