Hello everyone. πŸ™‚

I flew in and received a 60 day visa exempt on UK passport.

I want to extend for another 30 days, making total 90 days.

Can this be done from your first day of arrival onwards or does it have to be towards the end of the 60 day visa exempt to get the full additional 30 days extension?

Also am I best to extend in Patong office or when I go to Koh phangan? Is there one thats quicker and more efficient you would choose?

Thanks so much in advance for any advice or input. πŸ™πŸΌπŸ˜Š

TLDR : Answer Summary
A 60-day visa exempt entry into Thailand allows for an extension of 30 days, which must generally be applied for towards the end of the initial 60 days. You have the flexibility to extend at any Thai Immigration office, including those in Patong or Koh Phangan, although it is suggested to consider efficiency and processing times at each location.

The 30 days extension of stay are ADDED to your current ending date of the 60 day STAMP you received as Visa Exempt Entry into Thailand.

You can choose to use the Thai Immigration office where you are staying.

These are the common found requirements for the 30 days extension of stay. For 1,900 Thai baht

Be sure to have a TM30 address registration on file with Thai Immigration.

Normaly you have to do it towards the end of your 60 days. But you can ask the immi officer if he want to do it.
