Can I extend my 60-day tourist visa in Koh Samui early, and how does it affect the expiry date?

Hi πŸ™‚

I have already a 60 days visa in my passport from Denmark.

I plan to stay maybe 30 days more than that ore more.

1. Can I make the extention on Koh samui?

2. Can I do it about now ( a month to early, and then they just add it to the lenth?

- (so if I whent now to Koh Samui, and normally my visa would run out around 30 of marts, but would then run out 30 of april?)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about extending their 60-day tourist visa while in Koh Samui, specifically if they can do this a month early and how the new expiry date will be calculated. From the comments, it's confirmed that the extension can be done now, and the additional 30 days will be added to the current expiry date, extending it from the initial 60 days without needing to wait until the visa expires.

, sorry, I meant that each entry you make into the country (be it on a tourist visa or on a 30 day visa exempt entry) you can extend one time for 30 days for 1900baht at the immigration office.

, you can extend a 30 day visa exempt entry OR a 60 day tourist visa entry ONCE for 30 days at the immigration office. Then you have to leave the country to get another visa or come back in on a visa exempt entry.

If you don't have copy of your passport and photo they will help you with that for 100-200 bath I don't remember, sometimes it's very busy at the immigration at samui so I use to leave my passport and pay 1900 bath and collect my passport the day after. Just saying πŸ‘Œ

The 30 days will be added on to the current expiry date i.e. the new expiry date will be 90 days from when you entered Thailand, and you can extend it now - you don't need to wait until the expiry date of your 60 day tourist visa
