hi everyone, my daughter and me entered thailand on the 25th february with a one month tourist stamp in samui, with german passport.
we decided to stay a bit longer and want to extend another month at the immigration office in samui -
my question is, how many days in advance (before expiry of first month) can i do the extension and will the extra month be added to have 2 full months, or will the extra month start counting from the day of extending.
many thanks and all thumbs up to this very helpful group!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the process of extending a tourist visa in Thailand. The user asks how many days in advance they can apply for a one-month extension and whether the extension will provide a total of two full months or start from the day of the extension. Comments clarify that the extension can be applied for any time within the current 30-day stay, and the added month will start from the expiry date of the initial stay.
If you entered Thailand with a Visa Exempt stamp on the 25th Feb, it 'should' expire on the 25th March (30 days), IF your granted an Extension it will start from the 25th March.

Just be aware sometimes Samui immigration would tell you to come back when you have less than 2 or 1 week left of your admitted until stay, when they are busy. Usually they allow you to apply less than 30days.
