Can I Extend My 60-Day Tourist Visa by Going to Koh Samui When It Expires on April 12th?
I am on koh phangan and I have a 60 day tourist visa and it expires 12th april. I went today to get the extension but since everybody got the automatic extension there was nobody there. I have a flight booked for 7th may back home. My question is can I go to koh samui and get my extra 12 days that I was originally going to get?
Answer summary
The individual is currently on Koh Phangan with a 60-day tourist visa expiring on April 12. They attempted to extend the visa but found the immigration office closed due to an automatic extension granted to others. They have a flight scheduled for May 7 and seek clarification on whether traveling to Koh Samui will allow them to obtain an additional 12 days on their visa.

You can ask your local immigration ...As your current permission to stay date is April 12th....and that has now been automatically extended to April 30.
But if the Prime Minister extends an added month of May you will not need an extension.
Good Luck.

Wait and see what happens by April 30.
They may extend validity an added month of May.
