Can I extend my 6-month multi-entry visa in Thailand or get a new 30-day stay if I travel to a neighboring country?

Hi everyone, I will finish my 6 months visa (multi-entry) this march. After that I plan to stay another month (April) here. Is anyway I can extend my visa for another 1-2 months? If I go somewhere else (laos, vietnam) for 3-4 days and come back, will I get another 30 days? My passport is Denmark.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about extending their 6-month multi-entry visa, which is expiring in March, and whether traveling to a neighboring country like Laos or Vietnam for a few days would grant them a new 30-day stay upon re-entry to Thailand. Comments suggest checking the visa's 'Enter Before' or 'Valid Until' dates and performing a border run just before this date, potentially allowing for an additional stay of 60 days, which can be extended further at an immigration office. Previous experiences indicate that re-entry can result in varying allowed durations.

I’ve done this before on last day with a 6 ME. Coming back I was questioned about what I was doing so long in Thailand. Talked about seeing girlfriend and more of Thailand. Was initially only going to give 30 day but she gave me the 60 day stamp.

just reporting my experience. She ask why stay long time and then said “can 30 days”. This was back when they first moved to the two land crossing per year. And 555 officers have no discretion how long they can stamp.

they couldn't have only given you a 30 day stamp :/ Immigration officers have NO discretion as far as how long you were going to get stamped in. IF you were showing up on a tourist visa you'da got 60 days OR they would have denied you entry..

If the Enter Before or Valid Until date on the visa is 2 march 2019 you can do another border run just before that date to get another 60 days of stay, which you can extend at immigration office with another 30 days. If you do the run on 1 March you can stay till end of May.

What is the "enter before" or "valid until" date on the VISA itself?

like Robert said exit/re-enter the country on or before March 2 and you will get another 60 day entry stamp.
