TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the possibility of leaving Thailand and returning on a multiple entry visa to extend their stay for medical purposes. Comments confirmed that exiting and re-entering before the visa expires would grant an additional 60 days, with the option to extend it locally for another 30 days.

Yes, can. Up to you how you'd like to plan it. You do have enough slack after March 4 to go abroad and back. You can do it in one day if necessary. If you don't mind about a few days less, you could do it before the 4th as well.

If you exit and return before the multi entry tourist visa METV expires you will be given another 60 days and can extend 1x for 30 days locally.
