Non-O Immigrant Visa Based on Marriage to Thai National

Me:

US Citizen, arrived to Thailand in August 2021 with 60-day tourist visa, have been staying with Covid-extensions. Married in Dec 2021. Currently living in Bangkok. Current extension valid till March 4 2022.

Goal:

Looking to change tourist visa to 90 day non-o immigrant visa based on marriage while in Thailand.

Question: What documents/requirements do I need, how much will it cost and which office should I go apply?

Thanks in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is a US citizen seeking to change their current tourist visa to a 90-day Non-O immigrant visa based on marriage to a Thai national. They are currently residing in Bangkok with an extension that is valid until March 4, 2022. They inquire about the necessary documents, associated costs, and the office location for applying for this visa. A comment clarified that funds do not need to be held in a Thai bank account for a specific period when applying for the visa, but for a one-year extension, the funds need to be in the account for two months prior to the application.

You don't need to have your funds in a Thai account for a specific period. You even can apply for a visa when you get a letter from the Bank.

But you need to have your money in a Thai account for 2 months the day you apply for a 1-year extension.

ooo, one last question, are there any immigration offices other than CW in/near Bangkok? Do I have to go to CW b/c the home my wife and I are renting is in Bang Khen?

There is another temporary office at MuangThon Thani. They are for different functions, not your address-based.

You have to go to ChaengWattna to apply for an in-country visa and extensions after.

one last question, hope you can answer? Does my spouse need to accompany me for any of the trips to CW? Thanks again!

She needs to be with you when you apply for your visa/extension, ie when you submit all documents.

She doesn't need to be there when you go to IO after an under-consideration stamp.
