TLDR : Answer Summary
In Chiang Mai, after applying for a 60-day COVID extension, you will receive a stamp indicating your application is "under consideration." You need to return to the immigration office 14 days later for an update on your application status.

Yes, right now in chiang mai they stamp you « under consideration ». Have to come back 14 days later. I went there last week so it’s a recent update I’m giving you 😉

The "under consideration" period for a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 depends on the immigration office's case load, and may change depending on how much work they have.
