TLDR : Answer Summary
The Non-IM-O visa based on marriage is indeed categorized as a single entry visa if applied within Thailand. This means it does not have an automatic re-entry permit, so if you plan to travel back to the UK, you would need to apply for a re-entry permit before leaving Thailand to keep your visa status valid. To obtain the Non-O visa, you must follow specific steps, including a waiting period for approval and possibly seasoning your required financial balance.

If you're applying for the 90 day Non-O visa based on marriage inside the country they are sold as "no entry" <- meaning it doesn't have any re-entry permit attached to it because you're already INSIDE thailand.

This is how the process works in country.

-> apply for the 90 day Non-O visa for 2000baht

**wait the 14 days under review period

-> go back get the Non-O and the new 90 day stamp inked in

**wait 2 months until your 400K baht is seasoned,

-> go back and apply for the year extension 1900baht

**wait the 30 day under consideration period

-> go back and get the year extension inked in

-> THEN buy a re-entry permit if you want to leave/come back and keep that extension alive

and are you IN thailand now or are you outside of thailand?

As in are you applying for the 90 day Non-O visa at the thai immigration office here in thailand or are you getting the Non-O visa at the thai consulate in your country?

it might not work out that you can get the Non-O visa issued THEN the year extension before you go back to the UK. you might wanna put it on the back burner until you come back and are gonna be here for 4 or so months it takes to go from a tourist visa/visa exempt entry to a Non-O visa then to a year extension.
