TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can change a Non-O retirement extension of stay to a Non-O marriage extension. You will need to apply for a new extension based on marriage during your next renewal. Ensure to gather all required documents for the marriage extension, as it often requires more documentation than the retirement extension.
NON-O RETIREMENT VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
Go to the Retirement Visa Section for information on requirements, including age restrictions, financial requirements, and necessary documentation.
For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.
Explore recent discussions by using the Non-O Retirement Visa tag in the search box at the top of the page.
If you have a stamp in your passport that says "extension of stay permitted until" and has a date and the english word RETIREMENT you don't have ANY Non-O visa you have an extension of stay based on retirement.
What you would do is change the reason for your extension when you apply for the next yearly extension from one based on being over 50 (retirement) to one based on being married to a thai.
GO to your immigration office and get the hand out listing the requirements for the extension based on marriage (as it is a LOT more documents than the retirement one) and that way you will be ready
that’s exactly what Tod told me 3 years ago and I done over 3 years ago now. Just got to obviously meet the different requirement criteria. For the marriage EofS which is less financially but a lot more rigmarole altogether.

Many documents, photos, signatures, and a house visit. Big fun but it frees up, in my case , 400,000 Baht badly needed at the time. Good luck.
