TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual seeks to know if it's possible to convert their Non-Immigrant O single-entry visa to a multiple-entry visa while in Thailand, including information about where to make the change and associated fees. Responses in the comments suggest that such a change may not be possible and inquire about the specific reasons for holding the Non-O visa.

went to immigration, they said they can give me a 60 day extension but after that I have to do a 1 year marriage visa .

what’s is the multiple entry permit and we’re do I get that . If I get this permit then I can re renter Thailand and get stamped 90 days ??

reality is that you need to find a way to deposit 400,000 Thai baht in a Thai bank account in your name only to get the one year extension of stay based on marriage to Thai.

The border runs and visa runs are gone.

Plan ahead now.

The funds do NOT have to be left on deposit for the entire year...

But must be during the usual month following your application for the one year extension of stay based on marriage. Then spend it or draw it out... Just have it redeposited two months before your one year extension of stay ends.

just getting a re-entry permit will not make a single entry visa valid for a year nor will it give you any more time than that original 90 days you got when you stamped in.

Sorry for deleting the last post wasn’t sure if it was posted , last question for you

If I get a multiple entry non immigrant o visa at the consulate then I can do visa runs ever 90 days once the country reopens. Last question do I need to go my home country’s Thai embassy or I could go to let’s say a country that’s closer to Thailand and apply for the visa there

You can get the visa from any consulate that will sell it to you, there's no requirement you get it from your country.

we're light years away from the "do a visa run" option being viable again. All the neighboring countries are closed right now or have quarantine stuff in place so you're not gonna bounce out and back like you could pre-covid shit show. BUT if you had a year-long multi-entry Non-O and you could find a way to bounce out and back you could do it every 90 days like before

nope doesn't work that way 😕

You meet the requirements and apply for a year marriage extension and THEN you buy a re-entry permit

OR you leave and get a new visa from a thai consulate before you come back .

The covid extension program runs out on Sept 27th so if your previous comments are still valid you have a stamp that's running out on Sept 13th and can go get a 60 day covid extension.

Nope it is not possible to do that.

What is the reason you have a Non-O 90 day visa for?

Marriage to a thai, over 50, raising half thai children, what?
