Can I buy health insurance in Thailand without a Thai bank account on a DTV visa?

I shopped extensively for health insurance before moving here and no one said I need a Thai bank account. Also, you can ask if they accept Wise bank accounts

Difficult to believe that you have obtained your DTV yet only now discover that opening a Thai bank account may be problematic. It gets worse because you also wish to take out health insurance and have also discovered that Thai insurance companies will only make payments into Thai bank accounts. Do you anticipate becoming ill very soon? Or maybe suffering some unfortunate accident in the near future? Do you know there is something known as a waiting period after taking out insurance during which claims won't be paid? I feel you are worrying unnecessarily. I note Dave Allen has already kindly offered to assist in resolving your anxiety. Perhaps you would kindly let us all know how you go on with both your Thai bank and Thai insurance matters?

Don't worry, just like you can't open an account with DTV, you also can't buy insurance issued by Thai insurance companies. Even if you did manage to buy it, you'd need a Thai bank account to receive claims. At least that's the requirement for now.🥲

You don't need a bank account for insurance, and you should of already have it!! Taken it out from your home country,for credit card, or check insurance companies they pay the hospital nit you pay and get back. AXA
