How easy / straightforward is it to get a health insurance cover locally if you’re on a DTV visa? Any recommendations on reliable providers? Or should I be taking out WW or nomad health insurance from home country?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Obtaining health insurance in Thailand while on a DTV visa is generally considered straightforward. Expat insurance options are available from various local providers. Recommendations include reaching out to insurance brokers like Natty Tassana from Tenzing Pacific Services and Peter Wands, who offers comparisons across numerous providers. Additional suggestions for providers include Arawan Namak with Poe-Ma Insurance and Tabby Fin Infinity with AIA insurance. It is important to differentiate between health insurance and travel insurance, as the latter often has limited coverage durations.
you're right! Usually, but not always.. I advise to get a travel insurance for 1 year and renew it each here, for 500 euros you are covered for 10k euro.... same insurance with some broker advised would be 1k!
