Can I be registered in a different province than my school for my ED visa in Thailand?

Hi!

Does anyone know if I'm allowed to be registered in another province than where my school(where I have my ED visa) is located?

More specifically, is there going to be any trouble when I go for my visa extension, and they see I have a TM30 from another province?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The ability to be registered in a different province from your school, while holding an ED visa, may not be a problem for your visa extension. However, it's essential to file for visa extensions in the province where your TM30 is registered. The actual location of your school may affect the process, but it isn't necessarily a major issue.

You file for extensions in the province that your TM30 is registered. Where you physically attend school may or may not be an issue.

I see. I was under the impression I would be required to live in Bangkok, if my school is in Bangkok.

To your knowledge, that's not the case?

I couldn’t be certain about the school requirements. Some offer online studies so it’s possibly irrelevant where you physically are, but to get an extension you’ll need to be in the province your TM30 is registered.

the school is online and they are okay with me being in another province.

What I was wondering is if immigration would have an issue with me only coming back to the schools province, to do my extensions, and have my address registered in another province

You do the extensions in the province you reside - where you have your TM30.
