Evening all, after the initial 60 day TV and then extended by 30, will immigration allow a further extension from inside the country, or does it mean need to do the “visa run” - if this is the case is it better to apply for a 60 day TV in another country and extend again for 30 days?
Thank you for your help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A tourist visa (TV) in Thailand can be initially issued for 60 days and may be extended by 30 days. Whether you can apply for another extension from within Thailand depends on the current immigration policies, which can vary. While there may be options for a covid extension, the availability is uncertain and may change. If further extensions are not available, a visa run to a neighboring country or changing visa types may be necessary.
they might do a covid extension, but I would not bet on it. you're looking 90 days or more ahead of today and there have been rumors about the covid extensions going away for months now. Maybe you can get one, maybe you can't. If not you need to either change visa types or do a visa run.
most people didn't think they would've extended it last month but they did. If you want me to guess, and that's all it is, then no I don't think it will be extended again but we're unlikely to know until a few days before or even on the day itself.
no, it was only extendable by the unable to travel due to covid extension. If that's not extended then you'd need to leave the country or convert to a different visa.
