Hi guys - I need advise please..

Changing my air tickets due to errors and challenges with hotel in Bangkok.

My tourist visa now is free for 30 days. I want to get this extended - my question

1. Can I extend my Tourist Visa when I am in Thailand and if yes - is there and easy online way or where do I go to get it extended..

2. Does my Return new flight need to be within the 30 days or can I purchase return ticket after 60 or 90 days ..

Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can extend your Tourist Visa while in Thailand. If you are on a visa-exempt entry, you can extend it once at the Muang Thong Thani office. For a tourist visa, you receive 60 days upon entry, which is extendable at the Chang Wattana office. Additionally, it's essential that your return flight is within your visa validity to avoid issues with your airline.

If you’re coming in on a visa exempt entry you can extend that once. You would go to Muang Thong Thani office to extend. If you’re coming in on an actual tourist visa, you’d get 60 days on arrival, which can also be extended, but you would go to the Chang Wattana office for that.

You need a flight out within your arrival limit days else you risk being denied boarding by your airline. Some have got away with it but it’s a lottery whether you will.
