TLDR : Answer Summary
A freelancer can apply for a DTV (Digital Work Visa) in Thailand without being employed by a company or having a registered business. To enhance the application, it's essential to provide evidence of work, such as contracts with clients stating remote work, invoices, bank statements (including screenshots of PayPal), a portfolio, and relevant social media profiles like LinkedIn. Additionally, it's advised to demonstrate a regular salary and maintain proper documentation like tax receipts and records of client payments.

Yes. You are a digital nomad. Make sure you can prove you pay yourself. And give yourself a salary.

Which country will you apply in?

I’m a freelancer and was approved. I sent in my contracts with my clients- I had them add a section stating I can work remotely, I sent invoices, my bank statements (you can send screenshots of PayPal), my portfolio, and social media in relation to work (LinkedIn,etc)

You can also share screen shots of your PayPal and bank statements. Just add a cover letter explaining it all. My boyfriend had to do this as a business owner - he was approved

Sorry to interrupt you- Anonymous- I just want to know, Is the bank statement which is paid by client must be local bank's statement?

@Zaw ******
I showed 2 different bank accounts, one is used for saving while the other is for daily expenses. I showed the embassy both and it wasn't an issue

it does not have to be a local bank account, your personal account is the main thing.
