I’m German, I life in Australia and just got my second year on my Work and travel visa. I just got scammed and my DTV visa wich I though an agent applied for in Vietnam isn’t valid. 

With the new rule now, I have to go back to Germany, get a registration form before I can apply for the visa? Or is it possible with the subclas 417 work and holiday visa in Australia to apply from here? 

Anyone knows about my best options?

So you were in Australia and tried to get someone to get you a DTV in Vietnam makes perfect sense so what were you going to do if they asked you to come in for a interview 🤔 And you got scammed But you were trying to scam a 5 year visa for Thailand. KARMA

You may have temporary resident status with that visa and work permit but I doubt you have permanent resident status.

What country is your passport issued is probably the simplest way. But you can try Australia or email the thai embassy australia they are pretty good at assisting like that

I don't think a work and holiday visa counts as residence, so probably you'll have to apply in Germany

not so. If he holds citizenship or permanent residence then he can apply from Australia
