TLDR : Answer Summary
Australian citizens arriving in Thailand can receive a visa-exempt stamp valid for 60 days upon entry. It is important to follow the appropriate customs procedures and not to confuse this exemption with a visa on arrival, which is intended for different countries. Travelers should also keep their boarding passes handy as they may be requested by immigration officers.

Or look at the Thai Embassy website in your country.

Just arrived to the airport, smile, say Sawadee Krup and let the officer stamp your passport. If there is a really huge line, ask for the fast track line. It will cost you 100 Baht ($5) but will save you about 2 hours of your time

Australian citizens would get a visa free exempt stamp for 60 days. It’s not a Visa on Arrival (don’t follow those signs) as they are for different countries. Just go to the normal “foreign passport” queues. Keep your boarding card from the plane. The officer may request it.
