TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can use the 30-day visa exemption upon arrival in Thailand if you are coming from Australia. Additionally, it's possible to extend your stay for another 30 days for a fee of 1900 Baht. However, it's important to have a return flight booked for your initial 30 days, as airlines may deny boarding without proof of onward travel. Some travelers also inquire about applying for a 60-day visa from Australia, which may involve different requirements.

You need to have return flight for 30 days too otherwise the airline might refuse boarding. Then modify your return once you are in Thailand.
