Needing advice! Has anyone gotten a bus from cambodia to Thailand (direct over the boarder) and know if the tourist visa is still 30 days without having to apply for one?? Or if it changes to 15 days because im not entering via plane? I found this info and I am an Australian citizen but unsure if I will get 30 days if coming from Cambodia? Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
Australian citizens entering Thailand from Cambodia by land can receive a 30-day visa exempt entry stamp. There is some confusion surrounding whether this duration is 30 or 15 days; however, the regulation was updated in late 2016 to allow 30 days for both air and land entries. It's important to note that travelers are limited to two visa exempt entries by land per calendar year.

And I believe that
@Je***
now knows (and should believe ;) ) that people entering thailand by land get 30 day visa exempt entries BUT are limited to TWO of them by land per year.

I think we're done.

Sorry one more question, how will I know if they give me 30 days? Does the stamp say that on my passport or will they tell me?

I'd say find another travel agent :/

They stopped 15 day visa exempt entries by land back on Dec 31st 2016 :O That's when they went back to 30 day visa exempt entries by land but put a limit of TWO per calendar year. (by land).

Yes Aussies get 30 days visa-exempt by air or land entry. Some "official" websites still incorrectly say 15 days by land but that changed to 30 at end of 2016.

You get a Visa Exempt Entry stamp, not a tourist visa for 30 days. Be aware you can only enter Thailand twice a calendar your by land border crossings.

So if I fly to Thailand from Australia for 5 nights and then fly to siem reap for 5 nights and get a bus back into Thailand to Bangkok I won’t need a visa? Except for entering Cambodia?
